HealthPro’s EMT Refresher Training Program (RTP) is designed for practicing EMTs who wish to maintain their EMT License. Our program has three components: didactic (24 hours) which includes practical, hands-on skills training and final testing (additional 2-4 hours).
This course meets the required hours to recertify your EMT license through the State of California and the NREMT. The course is designed to be completed in 3 nine hour days to provide you with 24 hours of continuing education units and the additional time required for testing. In order to receive your course completion certificate, you must attend all hours posted. Students who do not complete all course hours will not receive a course completion certificate.

Obtain at least twenty-four hours of continuing education hours (CEH) from an approved continuing education provider or successfully complete a twenty-four hour refresher course from an approved EMT-I training program and submit a completed skills competency verification form.
Obtain at least twenty-four hours of continuing education hours (CEH) from an approved continuing education provider or successfully complete a twenty-four hour refresher course from an approved EMT-I training program and submit a completed skills competency verification form and complete an additional twelve (12) hours’ continuing education for a total of 36 hours of training.
Obtain at least twenty-four hours of continuing education hours (CEH) from an approved continuing education provider or successfully complete a twenty-four hour refresher course from an approved EMT-I training program and submit a completed skills competency verification form and complete an additional twenty-four (24) hours’ continuing education for a total of 48 hours of training and pass the National Registry written and skills certification exam.
Complete an entire EMT-I course over again.
Cancellation Policy: Payment is due prior to start of course for enrollment. Minimum class size of 10 or course will be cancelled.
If taking course to renew EMT license in CA: Applicant must hold an active California EMT certification, or have held a California EMT certification that expired within 6 months. For complete provisions regarding expired cards, please contact REMSA directly.
